One of the members of my church recently mentioned in passing an intern who had served the church some years ago, by the name of Warner. That certainly rang a bell with me. I wonder if any of you remember the Warners staying with you when Felix and I were off on one of our trips. I couldn't remember their first names - do you? I don't know if we mentioned it to you, but we always used to call the Seminary, which is right next to the church I now go to, when we wanted a couple we could trust. They recommended several different people at different times, but the Warners stick out in my memory as probably the best.

I remember Kent Warner. Some years later, we saw him at the top of a ski slope in Tahoe, and one of us (not me) recognized him enough to stop and say hi, albeit very briefly. I think I was in my late teens. I was with either Dad or Dan, or both.
Was his wife's name Donna? She was a lot of fun. She took us up to Mt. Tam to fly kites, then in the car, weaved her way down the mountain to the beat of whatever it was on the radio. I think it was with her that we went to the beach and borrowed a rowboat that we found (ahem) on the edge of a creek which dumped into the ocean.
I remember they had this monstrous maroon Impala (1967 or '69 model?). And they watched us more than once, because eventually they had a baby daughter which they brought along. I haven't got a clue what her name was.
Among the Jesuits you conscripted to watch us, they were the best.
I do remember you guys always called the Seminary. I always wondered why relative strangers were hired to watch us. Were we such a handful that our friends and neighbors couldn't be talked into the job? Well, maybe Dave and Dan were.
Hey Dan, do you remember "You haff a dock? You got dock hair!"
It would appear that he became a minister. It would be nice to learn how he did. I am glad you remembered them. I knew it was more than once, but did not realize they had a baby with them one time.
