Kulkas
Sage,
It was 37 this morning and there is still snow on the ground from a couple of days ago. This makes morning practice even more fun. Since you slothful bunch of Kulkas can't get the ball rolling on conversation and this family is known for our heckling, I say we call out a certain person to start up some conversation. As I was the one to suggest this, I am volunteering myself. Heckle away.

37? Why, when we were kids, we used to dream of it being 37 when we woke up. Why, we lived in a sno-cone machine, and every morning our mother would break the icicles off of our faces to sell for sno-cones. She would take our cold medicine to use for the syrup. And then she would shave our heads, arms and legs and force us to weave the hair into mittens to sell to tourists whose hands were too cold from eating the sno-cones. Then, she would attach cymbals and tambourines to our quivering elbows and knees so we would make music to attract business. And if we were lucky, mum would make enough money to buy us a bag of vacuum cleaner dust, so we would have dinner. "You must have fiber in your diet" she would say.
Kids these days. They don't know how good they have it.
Now that is a decent offer, AKulka.
As to Uncle Matt, I know the woman of whom you spoke. The one breaking icicles, etc. A truly fine woman who did her best to keep the family fed and clothed, no matter how resourceful she had to be. How lucky you were!
I know I was supposed to heckle, but I can't stand the thought of you going to swim practice in 37 degree weather. Do you wear parkas out to the pool? Or is it blessedly an indoor pool? I trust the water is heated above 37.
