Kulka Forum (again)

It's gotten eerily quiet in here. Is there a boycott I'm not aware of?

There has been a thought to move this away from "weblog" software to "forum" software. I like the idea a lot, because the latter is designed to show you what new topics or comments came along since you last logged in. It also has some organization to it. That is, we can divide the topics up into categories as we see fit.

In case you missed it, click this link to Kulkablog, The Forum. Create an account, kick the tires, take it for a test drive. Then either post a comment over there or back here and let us know what you think.

And hurry it up for cryin' in the rain. I have an idea for a new topic, but I'm waiting to see which place I should post it in.

Ciao,
Matt

This is weird. You voiced exactly my thoughts. I am ready for a new topic, finally tried to get on the new forum with no success, and am missing the sparkling repartee which this has provided. How about starting here until we are able to get established in the forum format?

Perhaps my mind has fled and left me behind. I tried the new blog again, and this time it did put my name as I had tried to enter it. The password area was blank, I added it, and Bob's your Uncle, as the old folks used to say. I'm on! So who is on the new forum at this point?

Ah!

Bob's your Uncle
Fanny's your Aunt
How's your father?
All right!

I used to work with an English mechanic who'd say that all the time. That, and

Ring the bell, I'm on the bus!

He was an interesting guy. British or not, he had a love for Buick Roadmasters ("four-holers" they were called).

He had one from the 1930's, a couple from the '40's, one his wife drove from the '50's. I don't know if he had one from the '60's. His goal was to have one from each decade. By the 1970's they had retired the Roadmaster name.

They brought it back as a station wagon in the '90's, but it was an ugly whale of a vehicle, reminiscent of nothing more than an obscenely over-inflated pork loin covered in white paint and fake wood paneling.

The Roadmasters this guy loved had straight-eight motors. Eight purring cylinders lined up straight as a row of ducklings. With the motor at idle, you could stand a nickel on the valve cover and it wouldn't fall over. He hated the '50's roadmaster because Buick had the gall to equip it with a V-8. That was the end of an era and a real disappointment to old Colin Moyse.

Glad to have unleashed some memories for you.
Now, I am ready for that new topic. Where will you post it?
